• centervue CenterVue was established in 2008 in Padova with the support of M31, an Italian venture incubator. A US subsidiary was opened in 2010. We design and manufacture highly automated, Internet-connected, medical devices for the diagnosis and management of ocular pathologies, including those that represent the leading causes of blindness.
    CenterVue sells its products worldwide in more than 70 countries, has obtained several international patents, and has installed more than 3000 devices as of the end of 2015. 30% of the budget is dedicated every year to research and development division.
    CenterVue features a completely autonomous structure including research, product development, production, marketing, sales and post-sales departments.

  • adaptica Adaptica was founded in 2009 as a spin-off of the University of Padova, Italy specialising in adaptive optics and optoelectronics applied to Industry and astronomical research.
    Adaptica leverages on its technological know-how and competences in astronomy to move from a better vision of the universe and its galaxies towards exploring vision and the human eye.
    Adaptica soon expanded into health-care, with a particular focus on vision and eye-care. It develops and manufactures smart, mobile, easy to use diagnostic pieces of equipment that are currently distributed in over 40 countries worldwide.

  • Bcn Innova As the person responsible for the Ophthalmology Department at the Pediatric Hospital of Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona (one of the largest of its kind in Europe), Dr. Joan Prat is perfectly aware of the limitations of the technology available for ophthalmologists. For this reason, in 2006, he started a project to develop a new measurement system for strabismus. The project underwent numerous problems and difficulties, but thanks to the impetus and determination of those working on it, it was possible to set up the company bcninnova.
